Bal Krishna is a Chilean vocalist dedicated to the rich and timeless tradition of Indian music. Recognized as the first Indian classical music singer in Chile, he has devoted his life to exploring, preserving and sharing this extraordinary musical heritage with audiences around the world.
His musical journey began at the age of five, when he first discovered his love for Indian music. By the age of nine, he was already traveling internationally to perform, beginning a lifelong journey shaped by music, devotion and a deep connection with Indian culture.
A defining chapter in his musical development came in 2014–2015, when he traveled to Kolkata, India, to study under the guidance of the renowned maestro Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. As his disciple, Bal Krishna immersed himself in the depth and intricacies of the Hindustani classical tradition, further developing his understanding of its rich musical language.
Kirtan is where his musical path began. His journey has been to honor what his master taught him and to weave it together with his own way of feeling music, culminating in an authentic musical expression. His repertoire extends beyond classical music, embracing Bhajans, Ghazals and beloved Bollywood melodies. Through these different expressions, he seeks to bring together the technical depth of Indian classical music with the emotional beauty and spiritual essence that make this tradition so unique.
Throughout his career, Bal Krishna has performed internationally at concerts, cultural gatherings and spiritual festivals, sharing his music with diverse audiences across different countries. His performances are an invitation to experience Indian music not only as an art form, but also as a journey of emotion, connection and devotion.
